THE SABBATH
Gardenia Merren
In Time's great cathedral I sit musing,
As the crashing overtones soar.
Majestic sonatas the organ notes pealing
Melodious cadenzas filling my soul and much more.
In Times great cathedral I pause, resting
In the sunlight and shadows of time.
A whisper of hope, love's message revealing,
A covert, a shelter, a benediction in rhyme.
In Times great cathedral I ponder
The calm in my being, the rest to my soul,
The marvel of redemption, of creation the wonder.
And the symphony soars while the centuries roll.
